Is Savvy Sliders Halal?
Not chain-wide. Savvy Sliders has no chain-wide halal certification, and its locations page does not mark any store as halal [3]. But some locations do serve halal products: a 2025 promotion excluded them by name [2], and a Dearborn store was announced with all-halal meat [1]. Ask your branch for its certificate. If you're unsure, ask a scholar you trust.

What Savvy Sliders is
Savvy Sliders is a slider chain from Farmington Hills, Michigan. It grew out of the Happy's Pizza concept in 2018 [4]. The menu is built around small Angus beef burgers and chicken fingers, with extras such as spicy falafel and cod sliders and custard shakes [4].
The chain has grown fast. Its locations page lists 55 open restaurants in Michigan, Ohio, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Indiana and Mississippi, plus 13 more coming soon [3]. Most are in Michigan, including many in the Detroit area [3].
Some Savvy Sliders locations serve halal
Savvy Sliders does not have a chain-wide halal certificate, and its locations page does not tag any store as halal [3]. But there is clear evidence that some locations serve halal products.
- A promotion that excluded halal stores. A November 2025 National Chicken Nugget Day deal from Savvy Sliders carried a footnote saying it excluded locations that serve halal products [2]. That only makes sense if some stores use a different, halal supply.
- An all-halal Dearborn store. In December 2025, a local report said Savvy Sliders and Fat Boy's Pizza were building a joint restaurant on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn. A partner said it would use all halal meat for the burgers, the tenders and the wings [1]. Dearborn appears on the chain's list of upcoming locations [3].
What we could not find is a list of which stores are halal or which certifier they use. So the answer depends on the branch.
Why only some stores are halal
In some franchise chains, local owners can choose between the standard supply and a halal supply while keeping the same menu. Savvy Sliders seems to work this way: the company runs chain-wide deals, and halal stores are treated separately [2]. That means two stores a few miles apart can give different answers. It also means a store can change its status if it changes its supplier. The safest habit is to ask each time you visit a new branch, and to look for a certificate with a current date.
How to check your Savvy Sliders
- Look for a certificate. A halal store should be able to show one with the certifier's name and a valid date.
- Ask what is covered. Is it the beef only, or the beef and chicken? Is the whole kitchen halal?
- Check promotions. If a chain-wide deal does not apply at a store, it may be because the store uses a separate halal supply [2]. Ask why.
- Do not assume from the city. A store's neighborhood does not tell you its meat supplier. Only a certificate or a clear answer from the store does.
If a store cannot show a certificate, treat it as not certified.
