HalalLookup helps you find out what is known about whether a food, brand or restaurant is halal. It is a starting point for your own decision, not a guarantee.

We are not a halal certifier

• HalalLookup does not certify, inspect or audit any restaurant, product or supplier. We report what certifiers, brands and other sources say, and we link to them.
• A page saying something is halal is not a halal certificate. Always check the certificate or label where you eat or shop.
• Our logo, badges and verdict labels are not certification marks.

Information can change

• Recipes, suppliers and certifications change, often without notice, and they can differ between countries, regions and individual branches.
• Every page shows the date we last verified it. Information may have changed since then.
• Restaurant listings come from public data, the restaurants' own websites and public reviews. We have not visited them, and a listing does not mean we endorse a restaurant.

Not religious rulings

Where scholars differ, we summarize the main positions with sources and don't choose between them. Nothing on this site is a fatwa. If you're unsure, ask a scholar you trust.

Allergies and health

Our pages are not allergy, dietary or medical advice. If you have an allergy or a medical condition, check the ingredients with the manufacturer or the restaurant.

Using the site

• You may read, link to and share our pages. Please don't copy whole pages or scrape the site in bulk.
• Brand names and trademarks belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products we discuss, and we aren't affiliated with them.
• Some links may later be affiliate links or ads. If so, they will never change a verdict, and we'll label them.
• The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, HalalLookup is not liable for decisions made on the basis of its content.
